    Travel CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Heart Team

    Corpus Christi, TX | Acute Care / Cardiovascular Operating Room

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-Call Rotation Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Scrub and provide direct 1:1 intraoperative support for cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, and open heart surgery
    • Operate and assist with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation including heart-lung bypass equipment, endoscopic vein harvesting equipment, cell saver, and specialty cardiovascular equipment
    • Maintain competencies for all cardiovascular surgical procedures performed within the CVOR setting
    • Participate in scheduled call rotation, including approximately 10–12 call days per month and rotated weekend call coverage
    • Must be able to report within the established call-back response time for on-call assignments, including some Thursday call coverage
    • Work independently in a high-acuity CVOR environment alongside CVOR surgeons, circulating RNs, anesthesia teams, perfusionists, and surgical assistants
    Required Qualifications
    • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
    • CVOR and open heart surgery scrub experience required
    • Experience with cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
    • Ability to take call and respond within the required call-back timeframe
    • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with TAVR procedures and aortic aneurysm repairs
    • Familiarity with endoscopic vein harvesting and cell saver equipment
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a high-volume, high-acuity cardiovascular OR
