    Job Title

    Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (CST)

    Location

    Charleston, SC

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | On-call required (up to 4 call shifts per month) | One weekend shift per 4-week scheduling period | Holiday rotation required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Scrub on a wide variety of surgical cases including Orthopedics (total joints, spine, trauma), Neurosurgery (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN procedures
    • Operate within a Level I Trauma Center environment across 21 OR suites covering all major surgical specialtiesFloat within scope to support facility needs across like units as required
    • Participate in on-call shifts and weekend coverage per scheduling requirements
    • Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and charting
    • Adhere to all facility protocols, including radiation safety requirements and emergency response procedures during hurricane season (June–November)
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
    • Active NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
    • Current BLS certification required
    • Level I Trauma experience required
    • Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)
    • Proficiency with EPIC charting system
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Neurosurgery cases including spinal and craniotomy procedures
    • Experience with ENT flap cases
    • Robotic surgery experience, specifically with the da Vinci Xi system
