Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (CST)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating weekends and holidays | Up to 4 on-call shifts per month including 1 weekend on-call shift per month
Key Responsibilities- Scrub into a wide variety of surgical cases including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Robotics, Transplant/Procurement, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN procedures
- Perform surgical scrub duties across 21 OR suites within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center environment
- Participate in on-call coverage as required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Float within scope to support staffing needs across like units as operationally required
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and charting
- Adhere to all facility protocols, safety standards, and radiation safety requirements
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
- Experience with ENT flap procedures
- Robotic surgery experience, specifically with the da Vinci Xi platform
