Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room
LocationCharleston, SC
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | One weekend per month required | Up to 4 on-call shifts per month
Key Responsibilities- Scrub and assist in a wide range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, Robotics, Transplant/Procurement, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN procedures
- Operate within a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center main operating room environment across 21 OR suites
- Float within scope to support varying unit needs, including across like units or sister facilities as required
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekend call shifts, to meet facility demands
- Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for charting and documentation
- Adhere to all facility protocols, including emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June through November)
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
- Current BLS certification required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by placing agency)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Neuro cases including spine and craniotomy procedures
- Experience with ENT flap cases
- Robotic surgery experience, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system
