Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts, 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM | No weekends required | On-call required: 2 weekend call shifts per month (12-hour call blocks, 7 AM–7 PM or 7 PM–7 A)
Key Responsibilities- Scrub on a wide variety of surgical cases including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
- Operate within a Level I Trauma Center environment across 21 OR suites covering all major surgical specialties
- Float within scope to support facility needs across like units as required
- Participate in on-call coverage including weekend call shifts on a rotating basis
- Document and chart using EPIC electronic health record system
- Adhere to all facility protocols, including emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
- Current BLS certification
- Level I trauma experience required
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
- Ability to scrub a broad range of surgical specialties as supported by the Main OR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with Neuro cases including spines and craniotomies
- Experience with ENT flap procedures
- Proficiency with Robotic-assisted surgery, specifically Da Vinci Xi platform
