Surgical Technician - Operating Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgical team during operating room procedures including neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and robotic-assisted surgeries
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before, during, and after surgical proceduresParticipate in an on-call rotation requiring 48–60 hours of call coverage every 4-week period, including weekend call
- Respond to call-back requests as needed during on-call periods, with on-call rooms available for use during call shifts
- Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure patient safety and efficient OR workflow
Required Qualifications- Active Georgia surgical technician license or valid Compact state license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Demonstrated experience in neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- Ability to fulfill on-call requirements including weekend call coverage
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior travel surgical technician experience in a high-acuity or academic medical setting
- Familiarity with a wide range of surgical specialties and advanced surgical equipment
