    Job Title

    Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Travel Contract)

    Location

    Asheville, NC | Acute Care – Cardiovascular OR

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM | On-Call Required | Travel

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform the scrub role for a full range of cardiovascular and thoracic procedures including CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, and Circulatory Arrest
    • Maintain 1:1 scrub-to-circulator ratio across all cases; pump cases may also require a first assist or Heart Holder role
    • Utilize Stryker equipment and document accurately within the Cerner electronic health record system
    • Participate in assigned and rotated on-call shifts as scheduled
    • Adhere to hospital surgical attire policy; scrubs are provided by the facility
    • Float to other areas as needed on an infrequent basis
    Required Qualifications
    • CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is mandatory — no exceptions
    • BLS certification required
    • Extensive, demonstrated CVOR scrub experience is required
    • Minimum of 2 prior travel assignments required — no exceptions
    • Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • First Assist or Heart Holder experience and proficiency
    • Familiarity with Cerner documentation systems
    • Experience in a high-volume, efficiency-focused cardiovascular OR environment
