Call requirement includes evenings, holidays, and weekends. The operating room features five up-to-date suites, with a sixth in the labor and delivery department. The unit has a diverse patient population consisting of both inpatients and outpatients. Patients undergo surgical, diagnostic, invasive, and other special procedures across all age groups, from infants to geriatrics. The operating room team consists of registered nurses, registered nurse first assists, surgical techs, and other assistive personnel. The RN patient ratios are 1:1. Surgical services include mostly orthopedic and trauma procedures. Other services include ENT and cataract removal surgeries. C-sections are also part of the surgical services offered. Experience with ENT, cataract, and C-sections is not required. Candidates must be willing to be trained for these surgeries.
