Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician - CVOR

• Assist in heart surgeries, including coronary artery bypass and adult heart transplants
• Manage equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and cell savers
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency
• Adhere to sterile techniques and infection control protocols
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using Meditech

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician - CVOR

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - TX Certified
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital/specialty experience in CVOR
• Experience with heart transplant procedures and peripheral vascular operations preferred
