Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year(s) License: WA State license required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Experience in scrubbing with a focus on ENT procedures, including FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, and laryngoscopy. Davinci Xi experience required for GYN, Uro, and General procedures. Description: MUST HAVE WA State license to apply. No pending licenses will be reviewed. Auto deduction of state tax applies, but it can be re-added. A Clinical Profile Review will take place, followed by an interview with the manager. Candidates must bring their own earphones for online training during the first week. The unit consists of 22 OR suites with the capability to expand to 26 across three different floors. The average number of cases per day ranges from 50 to 65. Common cases include GYN, Uro, Vascular, Plastic, Ortho (total hips/knees), Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General (Breast, HPB, Bariatric), Sports Med (Hand, Podiatry), Kidney transplants, and ENT. Experience with large and complex cases is preferred, including those using the Davinci Xi robot for GYN, Uro, and General surgery. No self-scheduling is allowed; start times will remain consistent within the same week. Weeknight call begins at the end of the shift until 7 am the next morning. Weekend call is a full 24-hour rotation (7 am to 7 am). Call response time is 30 minutes and a call room is available. Scrub color is teal, and scrubs will be provided. Unit and departmental orientation to involve HR and leadership with hands-on activities. Physicians and team members are supportive and eager to teach. Travelers often extend their assignments to maximize their experience. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during the assignment. Cerner is the charting system used. A BSN is not required for this position. This position operates in an acute care setting.
