Description:
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with the health system.
Driver's license required.
Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to termination of contract.
Common cases include general surgeries such as bowel, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and hernia repairs.
Laparoscopic procedures include cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hysterectomy, and hernia repairs.
Gynecology procedures include cesarean sections and hysterectomy.
Urology procedures include circumcision, cystoscopy, and nephrectomy.
Orthopedic procedures include scopes, closed reductions, total knees and hips, and open reduction internal fixation (ORIF).
Neurosurgery procedures include anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), burr holes, and craniotomies.
Plastics procedures include trauma reconstructive surgeries and skin grafts.
Eye procedures include enucleation and vitrectomy.
Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) procedures include tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and myringotomy.
Thoracic procedures include hiatal hernia repair and lobectomy.
Endoscopic procedures include bronchoscopies, EGD, and colonoscopies.
Experience with robotics and associated technology is essential.
Shifts may vary between 8 and 12 hours.
Weeknight call includes 4 hours after a shift each week.
Weekend call occurs from Friday evening to Sunday evening approximately every 5 weeks.
There is no floating outside of the Operating Room.
Green scrubs will be provided.
Time-off requests must be submitted upfront, and additional requests will not be approved.
The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
The charting system used is EPIC.
A BSN is not required for this position.
Trauma level is 1.
The care setting is acute.
The division is allied health.
