Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician - OR- Assist in cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures, ensuring sterile technique is maintained
- Prepare and manage surgical equipment, including cardiovascular instruments and endoscopic tools
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team for optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in scheduled call rotation, with prompt response to call-back requirements
- Maintain competencies for high-acuity CVOR settings
Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician - OR- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Experience with CVOR/Open Heart Surgery scrub roles
- Proficiency in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
- Ability to participate and respond to on-call duties within required timeframes
