Description

Job Opportunity – Surgical Technologist – Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (06:45 - 19:15). Variable shift start times may include 7am, 9am, 11am, or 3pm. Weekend coverage and call required per unit needs. 13-week contract with 40 hours of orientation.

Highlights:
  • Acute care facility with 8 operating rooms and daily census of 25 patients
  • Diverse surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN
  • Trauma Level I experience required – critical hardstop requirement
  • Work with advanced equipment including daVinci Xi robotic system, Stealth Navigation Station, microscope, and laparoscopic/arthroscopic equipment
  • Opportunity to work in a collaborative surgical environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
  • Float opportunities to nearby sister facilities as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of surgical tech experience required; 5 years preferred
  • Trauma Level I experience required (hardstop)
  • Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Active California state license preferred; compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CST certification (Certified Surgical Technologist) and NBSTSA certification required
  • Required experience: Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma (hardstop requirements)
  • Proficiency with case cart, crash cart, and scrubbing required
  • Preferred skills: Craniotomy and airway management experience
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
