Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 (Monday through Friday, 0700-1530) Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of surgical OR experience required License: BLS Certifications: Graduate of an accredited surgical tech program, CST preferred Must-Have: - Experience with the following case types: General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB-Gyn (including c-sections), Endoscopy, Cataracts, and ENT Description: The surgical technologist is an essential member of the operating room team. The role involves preparing and maintaining the sterile field, instruments, and supplies. The technologist will assist with surgical procedures and ensure a safe environment for the patients. Expected average cases per day are 20-22 across various specialties. Support within the department includes transporters, charge nurses, phlebotomy staff, and a 24/7 respiratory therapy team. Call requirements are approximately one day per week and every 5th-6th weekend. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays on call. Scrub colors are OR scrubs, which will be provided. This position offers free parking for staff.
