Candidates must have knowledge of surgical procedures. The surgical technician will prepare supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. The technician is expected to anticipate the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments. Assisting the surgical team in all procedures is a key responsibility. The surgical technician will be responsible for case clean-up. Additional duties include positioning patients, moving patients, and room turnovers. Good communication skills are essential for successful performance in this role.
