General surgery experience preferred. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission. Certifications: AHA BLS - current Must-Have: - One reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission. - Required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission. Description: The Certified Surgical Technician will assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile environments. Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. Experience preferred to be within one location but not required. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. All required certifications need to be active and submitted with the application. Candidates will be expected to complete assessments during orientation. A maximum of two attempts will be allowed to pass these assessments, or cancellation may occur. Background checks of any kind will be reviewed, and travelers with open cases will not be accepted. Exemptions apply to nicotine-free facility requirements for certain professions. A negative drug screen is required within 12 months of the start date and must be updated annually. Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return for a specified period from their previous end date. Completion of certain competency requirements is mandatory for ongoing contracts. Modules will be completed pre-start and annually, with specific billable hours outlined.
