Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in and provide direct 1:1 surgical technologist support for cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, vascular surgical procedures, and open heart surgery
• Operate and assist with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation, heart-lung bypass equipment, endoscopic vein harvesting equipment, cell saver, and specialty cardiovascular equipment
• Maintain competencies for cardiovascular surgical procedures and function independently in a high-acuity CVOR environment
• Participate in scheduled call rotation, including approximately 10-12 call days per month and rotated weekend call coverage
• Respond to call-back requests within the facility's established response time requirements
• Adhere to unit guidelines, dress code, and all applicable hospital policies; hospital-provided scrubs are supplied

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Demonstrated CVOR and open heart surgery scrub experience
• Experience with cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Minimum 1 year of relevant surgical technologist experience
• Ability to take call and report within the required call-back response timeframe

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with TAVR procedures and aortic aneurysm repairs
• Familiarity with endoscopic vein harvesting and cell saver equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment
