Pay: $1,636.80 per week
Shifts: Swing shift, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday
Seven Healthcare is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician for an exciting travel assignment in Lake Charles, LA. This role is specifically aimed at the Operating Room within the specialties of neurosurgery, orthopedics, general surgery, podiatry, and urology. Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician- Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
- Maintain aseptic techniques and monitor situations for breaches
- Provide comfort and support for pre-operative patients
- Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite
- Position patients according to the type of surgery
- Identify and care for biological specimens
- Set up Operating Room tables, instruments, and supplies
- Proficiently scrub in at least three specialty areas
- Establish and maintain the sterile field and assist physicians
- Ensure preference cards are up to date and complete
- Maintain a safe environment with technical and aseptic practices
- Adhere to universal barrier precautions for safety
Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program
- 2 or more years of experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required
