Performs surgical scrub duties. Maintains acceptable levels of supplies. Provides turnover of patient areas. Assists in the operating room with obstetrics-related surgeries. Supports nursing staff in deliveries as directed. Prepares patient rooms and opens sterile supplies using aseptic techniques. Checks the integrity of sterile packaging. Assists the surgical team during operative procedures by providing needed supplies and instruments in a timely manner. Participates in the timeout for each case. Collects urinalysis specimens. Records maternal vital signs, weight, height, and intake & output measurements. Performs personal care services and assists with activities of daily living for patients. Prepares, positions, transports, transfers, and discharges patients. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This position is represented by a union.
