Job Opportunity – Sterile Processing Technician – Olympia, WA 98506
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Olympia, Washington
Schedule: Mid shift, 3x9 hours, Friday through Monday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Highlights:- 13-week travel assignment at a 325-bed short-term acute care hospital
- Work with EPIC charting system in a comprehensive sterile processing department
- Support multiple surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, Urology, and Plastics
- Gain experience with high-level disinfection, steam sterilization, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
- Weekend schedule provides extended time off during the week
- First-time travelers welcome with at least one year of experience
Requirements:- Active CBSPD or CRCST (IAHCSMM/HSPA) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience (2 years preferred)
- Proficiency with washers, sterilizers, case carts, and proper wrapping materials
- Experience with sets/trays assembly, equipment documentation, and biological/chemical indicators
- Knowledge of high-level disinfection and sterilization monitoring procedures
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel contract
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
