Job Title: Surgical Reprocessing Technician

Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/Director, the Surgical Reprocessing Technician is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, assembling, packaging, disinfecting, and sterilizing all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical teams across various departments, including inpatient, outpatient, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Delivery Room, and satellite locations. The technician documents and monitors all sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with standards for methods such as steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants. They proactively coordinate the preparation of case carts according to surgeon preference cards, ensuring supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants are available for each patient. Additional responsibilities include receiving, unpacking, shelving supplies, maintaining appropriate par levels, and collaborating with surgical specialty teams to meet instrumentation needs.

Required Qualifications:
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
- Computer skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a medical terminology course.

Required Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred Certification & Licensure:
- Central Service Certification.
- BLS preferred.
