Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Surgical Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of PCU experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- 36-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit setting
- 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Patient ratios of 4 to 5:1
- Will work both 3E and 3W units
- EMR: Epic
- Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Nursing degree accreditation must be verifiable, or candidate must have 5 years of acute care experience
- Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
Additional Information
- Deliver progressive care nursing services to a surgical patient population
- Scrub colors required: Galaxy Blue or White
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility and not own or cosign property within that radius
- Candidates must secure full-time housing in the area rather than commuting from outside the region
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as RTO will not be approved after submission
- Orientation begins on a Friday, requiring in-person presence for badge and ID processing
- Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start, with no exceptions for pending documentation
- Candidates should be flexible, team-oriented, and prepared to work as core staff
