Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU/IMC position requiring 2 years of current SICU experience and an active MD or compact RN license.

Details

• Surgical ICU/Intermediate Care unit within a hospital's Department of Surgery
• Cares for ICU and post-surgical patients including trauma, transplant, vascular, GI, ortho/neuro spine, oncology, and general surgery cases
• Rotating 7a/7p shift schedule
• Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
• Weekend commitment of 3 out of every 6 weekends
• On-call availability required twice per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years current Surgical ICU experience required
• At least 2 previous travel assignments required
• Critical Care Certification, trauma course, EPIC, and ACLS preferred
• Experience in a comparable large facility setting (500+ beds) required

Additional Information

• Deliver critical care nursing to a complex surgical ICU patient population
• Orientation sessions held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• First-time travelers not preferred given the experience requirements of this unit
