Key Responsibilities
- Perform first assist duties in the operating room under the direction of the surgical team
- Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures within an acute-care hospital setting
- Maintain sterile field and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments and supplies
- Support pre-operative and post-operative care processes as required by the OR team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical staff to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification or equivalent First Assist qualification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
- Demonstrated experience in an operating room environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel assignment experience in a surgical or OR setting
- Experience in a large acute-care or multi-specialty hospital environment
