    Job Title

    Surgical First Assistant – Cardiac / Vein Harvester (Travel Contract)

    Location

    Salt Lake City, UT | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 36 Hours per Week | Start Time: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM | On-call required every third weekday and every third weekend

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvest procedures utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro systems in a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
    • Provide Open Heart First Assist support across cardiac and thoracic surgical cases including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and open and endovascular aortic repair
    • Assist surgical team on a unit operating within a 2.5-CVOR environment, maintaining high standards of patient safety and sterile technique
    • Fulfill on-call obligations on a rotating schedule, including every third weekday and every third weekend
    • Float to the Main OR as needed to support broader surgical operations
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience utilizing Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro
    • Minimum 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience
    • Active CSFA, CFA, or SA-C certification required
    • Ability to meet on-call and weekend rotation requirements as outlined
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with a broad range of cardiac and thoracic procedures including TAVR and aortic repair (open and endovascular)
    • Familiarity with CVOR workflows and cardiovascular surgical team dynamics
    • Adaptability to float and support general OR cases as needed
