Key Responsibilities
Provide first assist services across multiple surgical service lines including general, GU, vascular, orthopedic (MAKO), GYN, ENT, and plastics
Function in the role of a true surgical first assistant — not a scrub technician role
Participate in on-call rotation as required by the department
Support surgical teams in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across all assigned specialties
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Surgical First Assistant (not a scrub tech background without first assist credentialing)
Proficiency assisting across a broad range of surgical specialties
Ability and willingness to take call as part of the position requirements
Current and applicable licensure or certification as a Surgical First Assistant
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with robotic-assisted orthopedic procedures, specifically MAKO system
Broad multi-specialty surgical first assist experience across general, vascular, GYN, ENT, and plastic service lines
