Key Responsibilities
- Perform first assist duties in a 16-room operating room environment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including robotic, orthopedic, neuro/spine, general, plastics, and urology procedures
- Function as part of a dedicated surgical team (RN, Surgical Assistant, Surgical Tech) maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio per OR room
- Operate and assist with advanced OR equipment including robotic surgical systems
- Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system
- Participate in call rotation averaging approximately 2 call shifts per week, including weekday nights and weekend primary and backup call
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia Surgical Technologist / First Assist License required
- Robotic surgical experience required
- Orthopedic surgical experience required
- Neuro/spine surgical experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CST/First Assist
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience across multiple surgical specialties including general, plastics, and urology
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Strong team-oriented approach and adaptability in a fast-paced OR environment
