CVOR Surgical Technologist – First Assist

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Perform first assist duties during cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) surgical procedures
- Scrub and assist the surgical team throughout cardiovascular cases
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field in accordance with established protocols
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond appropriately during procedures
- Ensure proper handling, passing, and accounting of surgical instruments and supplies
Required Qualifications- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR Surgical Technologist experience
- Must hold active First Assist (FA) certification or credential as a CVOR Surgical Technologist
- Demonstrated ability to function in both a scrub and first assist capacity within the cardiovascular OR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with a broad range of cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills within a fast-paced OR environment
