    Job Title

    Travel Surgical Technologist – Certified First Assistant, Operating Room

    Location

    Asheville, North Carolina

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13-Week Travel Assignment) | Days | 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM | On-Site | Call Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist surgeons directly during a wide range of operative procedures including Orthopedic Trauma, Spine, Neuro, GYN, Urology, General, Vascular, Robotics, Peds, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, OMF, Dental, and Eye Trauma
    • Provide first assist support in a high-volume main operating room environment with a 1:1 patient ratio
    • Operate and assist with advanced surgical technology including Da Vinci, Mako, and Velys robotic systems
    • Accurately document patient care and procedural information using the Cerner electronic documentation system
    • Adhere to flexible scheduling requirements, including participation in on-call rotation as needed
    • Collaborate with surgical team members including unit secretaries and surgical technologists to ensure efficient OR workflow
    Required Qualifications
    • Active CSTFA, CFA, or RNFA certification required
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist First Assistant
    • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to assist surgeons across multiple surgical specialties including Ortho, Spine, Neuro, GYN, General, Robotics, and Vascular
    • Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
    • Ability to meet flexible scheduling demands including call coverage
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience assisting with robotic-assisted surgical procedures (Da Vinci, Mako, or Velys platforms)
    • Experience in a high-volume, multi-specialty main operating room setting
    • Previous travel assignment experience in a surgical technologist or first assist role
