License: Must have a Permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at time of submission. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required. Must-Have: High school diploma or GED. Description: Client is seeking a Surgical Support Aide. The position requires lifting heavy items, transporting patients, and cleaning/turning over rooms. Travelers will be asked to work first shift for the first three weeks of the contract to familiarize themselves with the unit. References must come from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for. References should be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. All required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission. Travelers must complete a background check and be nicotine-free when submitting. Candidates may be subject to additional assessments and competency requirements. Candidates may extend with a client for a period of 18 months, followed by a 6-month break requirement. Those who do not complete annual competency requirements will be considered non-compliant. Modules are billable, and any additional time required for pre-start modules is non-billable. Average time for modules varies by specialty. Annual modules apply to travelers who have been on contract for a continuous year.
