Key Responsibilities of the Surgical Assistant

• Assist with neuro/ENT procedures including spine and cranial surgeries
• Support orthopedic procedures such as fractures, total knees, and arthroscopy
• Facilitate general surgeries including laparoscopic, vascular, and oncology
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and care

Requirements of the Surgical Assistant

• BLS certification
• Certification from NBSTSA, ABSA, or NCCSA
• At least two years of surgical assisting experience
