Key Responsibilities of the Surgical First Assistant

• Function as a surgical first or second assistant to the surgeon for both complex and basic operative procedures
• Perform responsibilities of a Surgical Technologist if required
• Cross-train in all Main OR specialties and Urology center

Requirements of the Surgical First Assistant

• BLS certification required
• Two years of experience in surgical specialties, particularly Ortho, Neuro, General
• Strong background in robots, neuro, general, ortho, and ENT
