At least one (1) year of travel experience. License: Graduate of an accredited program in PA/SA or International Medical Graduate. Certifications: CPR certification required. Must-Have: Knowledgeable in surgical anatomy and physiology. Familiar with operative technique related to surgical procedures. Understanding of asepsis and infection control principles. Description: The Surgical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the surgeon. The Surgical Assistant must be knowledgeable in surgical anatomy and physiology. They should be proficient in operative techniques related to surgical procedures. Understanding of asepsis and infection control principles is essential. The Surgical Assistant maintains clinical competence in pre-op assessment. They are responsible for patient preparation and assistance during surgical procedures.
