Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Acute unit. This role requires expertise in post-op care, trauma, and overflow medical cases within an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will possess strong critical thinking skills and a good bedside manner.

Assignment Details

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Shift: 12-hour nights (19:30 - 07:30)
  • Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday requirement: Rotate every other holiday
  • Floating requirements: First to float; specific to experience level
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Scrub Color: Any color

Responsibilities

  • Manage post-operative surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients
  • Conduct dressing changes and wound care
  • Administer IV therapy and pain management
  • Care for drains, NGs, central lines, and TPN
  • Ensure a collaborative approach as part of a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL RN license or application initiation confirmation
  • BLS certification (AHA)
  • Experience in post-op care and critical thinking skills
