Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery night shift position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and prior OR experience.

Details

• Hospital Surgery/General Surgical unit setting
• Night shift, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 4 days x 10 hours
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend requirement of 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts
• On-call requirement of 1-2 call nights per week with charge duties as needed
• Floating to other departments required as needed
• EPIC EMR used
• Hospital scrubs provided

Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license or compact state RN license required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Additional Information

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the surgical patient population
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Perform various point of care testing procedures
• Participate in patient/family education and discharge planning
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation before starting a new travel assignment
