Position: CPD Operations Manager $$SN$$
Location: Millbourne, Pennsylvania
Shift: Days – 5x8s (40 hours/week)

Job Duties
• Direct and oversee Central Processing operations, including decontamination, instrument and set assembly, sterilization, and case cart picking.
• Lead supervisors and develop Central Processing Department (CPD) technicians across a multi-shift operation.
• Manage personnel, materials, and resources to ensure quality outcomes, efficiency, productivity, and standardization.
• Collaborate with CPD leadership to establish departmental goals, standards, and objectives aligned with organizational strategies.
• Monitor quality assurance, safety, environmental, infection control, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance programs.
• Identify safety risks and develop mitigation plans with CPD leadership.
• Develop performance measures to monitor and improve sterile processing quality and operational performance.
• Develop and support comprehensive orientation and training programs for CPD staff.
• Provide ongoing education, in-services, mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
• Direct and coordinate sterilization and distribution activities while prioritizing staff assignments and productivity goals.
• Build strong working relationships with departmental customers, vendors, contracted providers, and healthcare teams.
• Conduct service rounds and collect customer feedback to evaluate service effectiveness and satisfaction.
• Analyze operational data and create reports to support CPD management and enterprise decision-making.
• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives involving organizational change, data management, process mapping, and communications.
• Utilize CHOP-approved performance improvement methodologies to implement operational improvements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for SPM and optimize its use within sterile processing operations.
• Promote effective use of Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other technology to improve productivity and reporting.
