Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician- Ensure all surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and properly maintained
- Inspect and test medical equipment for safety and performance
- Prepare and package instruments and supplies for sterilization
- Follow protocols and guidelines for infection control
- Maintain accurate inventory of sterile supplies
Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization and infection control processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
