Cleans soiled instruments and equipment utilizing appropriate personal protection equipment. Inspects and tests instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning. Utilizes testing tools to ensure proper sterilization occurs. Strives for zero defects in processing. Prioritizes workload to correspond with medical/surgical floor needs and surgical case loads. Accurately differentiates between the functionality of instruments and their specialties. Monitors performance of sterilizers and other equipment and fills out repair requisitions as necessary. Handles customer area requests efficiently, timely, and professionally. Maintains a low error rate and high productivity rate. Actively participates in safety initiatives and completes all position and unit safety-related competencies and requirements on time. Performs other duties as assigned.
