Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,218 per week in Baltimore, MD

Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2 years required, first-time travelers not considered License: Must have an active license Certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Trauma Level I and II experience required Previous charge experience preferred Description: This is a primary decontamination position that will occasionally float within the department to sterilization. Additional experience with various specialties such as ear/nose/throat, OB/GYN, orthopedics, and urology is preferred.

Candidates must have experience in Trauma Level I and II settings. Experience in an acute hospital operating room is necessary. The candidate must be knowledgeable in aseptic techniques, biological indicators, and chemical agents for decontamination. Familiarity with disinfectants, immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), and proper labeling practices is required. Skills in sterilization wrapping procedures and the use of washers and sterilizers are essential. Additional experience with various specialties such as ear/nose/throat, OB/GYN, orthopedics, and urology is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable floating within the specialty and to other units as needed. Availability to work holidays and weekends as scheduled is necessary. On-call requirements do not apply to this position.
