Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for night shift with required Stepdown experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

  • Step down unit within a hospital setting
  • PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient population
  • Patient ratio of 1:3
  • Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
  • Every 3rd weekend required
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active WI or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • 1 year of Stepdown experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required

Additional Information

  • Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for stepdown patients
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias as part of daily patient care
  • Candidates must shave for proper mask seal during fit testing; no medical or religious exemptions accepted
  • CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided, and personal use of these devices is not permitted
  • Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Clinicians cannot work as a traveler at this health system for more than 1 year without taking a 6-month break before returning
