Description

American Traveler is hiring a Step Down RN for a hospital setting requiring an active OH or compact RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
  • Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
  • Day/Night rotating shifts (3x12 hours), 7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30
  • Shifts may be adjusted to meet hospital operational needs
  • Required to work every other holiday

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from AHA or American Red Cross
  • 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
  • One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required
  • No open background check cases accepted
  • No hits on professional license accepted

Additional Information

  • Care for stepdown-level patients requiring cardiac monitoring and close observation
  • ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required
  • Up to two attempts allowed to pass orientation assessments
  • PBDS Assessment is waived for this role
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, medical or religious exemptions only
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
