Registered Nurse (RN)
The Cardiovascular Registered Nurse is an essential member of the team, utilizing clinical judgment skills to assess and manage patient responses to actual or potential health conditions. The role focuses on providing comprehensive care to patients in the Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), which serves over 4,000 cardiology patients annually. This includes care following procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers, as well as supporting approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) during discharge.
The CVU specializes in managing patients with congestive heart failure and conducting electrophysiology studies. Our research department actively manages numerous national clinical trials in cardiovascular care, highlighting our commitment to innovative patient care and optimal outcomes.
Our unit has been recognized with a Silver level Beacon Award and has demonstrated exceptional performance and efficiency in delivering patient care, showcasing the outstanding efforts of our nursing staff.
Active Michigan nursing license is required. License verification must be provided.
