GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC. This contract position is ideal for RNs with experience in Progressive Care Units (PCU) and Step Down settings. We are looking for dedicated professionals who can provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
**Please note: Candidates cannot live within 50 miles of the facility. A minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience is required. Travelers must have Step Down/PCU experience, as well as Med Surg nurses who will float to their PCU unit as needed. This is primarily a Med Surg role that frequently floats to PCU/Step Down and other Med Surg/Tele units. Candidates must be comfortable with floating frequently. Ratios are as follows: Step Down 1:4-5, Med Surg 1:5-6. Please confirm that the traveler is okay with floating frequently. Pediatric experience is not required (travelers without pediatric experience will not see pediatric patients). 1:5/1:6 ratios are expected. First-time travelers are accepted, but the facility will not accept any license or background hits. Candidates must already be SC licensed.
Contract length is 13 weeks with a possible extension. Shift dates include weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed. Required certifications include BCLS, NIHSS, and ACLS. Skills required include IV start, and travel experience is preferred. Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear royal blue and white. The EMR system used is Meditech (TR).
