GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Join our team as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Beaufort, SC, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit (PCU). This contract position offers the opportunity to work night shifts with a supportive team dedicated to excellence in healthcare.
This is a MedSurg role that frequently floats to Stepdown and MS/Tele units. You must be comfortable doing both! The ratios are as follows: Stepdown 1:4-5, Medsurg 1:5-6. Please confirm that you are okay with floating frequently. Note that travelers cannot live within 50 miles of the facility, and 2 years of Med Surg experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted, but the facility will not accept any license or background hits. You must already be SC licensed.
The unit profile includes a 4T MS unit with 29 beds dedicated to general surgical and orthopedic patients, with medical overflow as needed. The contract length is 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Shift dates include weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as needed.
Certifications required include BCLS and ACLS. IV start experience is necessary, and travel experience is preferred. Please note that scrubs are not provided; royal blue and white scrubs are required. The EMR system used is Meditech.
