Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care night shift position on a dedicated Stroke Unit requiring 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown Intermediate Care unit of a hospital setting
• Dedicated Stroke Unit with 30 beds
• Patient population includes Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal, Sepsis, Trauma, and Surgery cases
• 1:4 nurse to patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide full Social Security Number and Date of Birth for consideration
• Must provide a copy of Driver's License, 2 separate references, and skills checklist for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a dedicated Stroke Unit within a stepdown/intermediate care setting
• Radius rule applies which may affect eligibility for the standard travel rate, though local candidates are accepted
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
