Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit position on a dedicated Stroke Unit requiring 2+ years of experience and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Details

  • Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a hospital setting
  • Dedicated Stroke Unit with 30 beds
  • 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Patient population includes Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal, Sepsis, Trauma, and Surgery cases
  • Day shift schedule, 06:45-19:15
  • 13-week assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IN or Compact) currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care to a complex, high-acuity stepdown patient population on a dedicated stroke unit
  • Radius rule applies; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
  • Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
