The assignment begins on September 14, 2026, and involves 12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend, with self-scheduling to meet unit needs
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS and ACLS certifications, minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, drivers license required for radius verification
  • Preferred Qualifications: Oncology certification is preferred but not required; experience in step-down or PCU units is essential, charge nurse experience is desirable
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical-surgical and progressive care units; floats will remain at the same level of care
  • Orientation: Two days of unit-specific orientation provided
  • Responsibilities: Titration of insulin and Cardizem drips, management of common drips including chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, Protonix; familiarity with high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, ventilators, and other respiratory equipment is expected
  • Equipment: Epic EMR system; IV pumps (Alaris); high-flow oxygen delivery systems and ventilators may be encountered
  • Support Staff: Nursing assistants, charge nurse, PT/OT, case manager, social worker, educator, dietitian
  • Team Culture: Emphasis on patient-centered care, teamwork, and respecting diversity; focus on patient experience via hourly rounding and bedside shift reports
