Job Summary
Step Down Unit RN Nights 4th Floor East Wing: Located within the healthcare organization, this position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and pediatric patients (15 years and older) in a busy acute care setting. The RN will support patients with diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, COVID, subdural hematoma, and weakness, ensuring high-quality, responsive care on a 12-hour night shift.

Job Details

  • Position: RN Step Down Unit, Nights (12-hour shifts)
  • Location: 4th Floor East Wing of the healthcare facility
  • Requirements: Valid RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, 2 years of experience minimum, drivers license for radius verification
  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week
  • Certification and Education: Valid RN license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, experience requirement: 2 years
  • Responsibilities include: Managing patient care, responding to unit needs, supporting hourly rounding, and working with unit support staff such as educators, care managers, social workers, dieticians, PT, and OT
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Additional notes: The role involves float capability to medical-surgical areas depending on placement needs. Units utilize EPIC for charting, and specialized equipment includes mechanical lifts and IV pumps.
