Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Bay City, Michigan.
Job Summary
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Nights Michigan. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or with complex conditions such as vent patients and stroke patients requiring neuro checks. The role emphasizes assessment, medication management, patient education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Position Description:
Responsible for patient monitoring, assessment intervention, medication management, and education within a step-down care environment. Utilizes advanced monitoring equipment, administers complex medications and IV therapies, and maintains accurate documentation. Works closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Required Qualifications:
Michigan state license; BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS (American Heart Association); 2 years of RN Step Down/Progressive Care experience; Telemetry monitoring experience; Cerner experience; Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in telemetry and step-down units, familiarity with advanced patient monitoring and medication administration.
Additional Information:
Stricter attendance policy requiring adherence to scheduled shifts with no tolerance for tardiness or unscheduled absences. The role includes responsibilities for patient education, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
