Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Nurse in a dedicated stroke unit setting, responsible for providing specialized care to patients with complex conditions such as sepsis, trauma, surgery, and various other medical diagnoses. This role involves caring for up to 30 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes on a high-acuity floor.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Nursys license or equivalent verification, professional profile and references, skills checklist completion, and a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in step-down units, stroke units, or related high-acuity settings.
  • Additional Information: This position requires a dedicated focus on stroke care, with a patient population that includes cardiac, GI, renal, and trauma cases. Candidates must have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent clinical skills.
